About
Simple.
Lisa Wardell-that’s me. Idaho-raised, California-living, cat-owning, traffic-hating, movie-loving smart aleck.
Hopeful.
Hopeful that I can help you. One of the reasons you are reading this is you are probably looking for answers. Not only answers, but alternatives to the ones you’ve been given that haven’t worked. I am not a doctor and will never proclaim to be one, but there are alternative medicines that I have tried, that I feel obligated to share with others in the hope that some will find my two bits helpful. (I wish someone had done it for me.)
Angry.
I am not a conspiracy theorist. Though some many disagree when they read what I have to say about the FDA and certain medical fields. Plain and simply there is just so much that I wish I had known before I so naively shoveled out my hard earned cash to “experts” and popped pills that put me into a worse state than I was before! I hate to admit it, but it’s taken me a few stints in the hospital to figure out that maybe, just maybe, doctors don’t have it all figured out.
Enlightened.
More than once I have stared at the white tiles of the emergency room ceiling wondering how I got there. More than once I came to realize it was the professional medical field that put me there. I understand flukes, I understand mistakes, but more than once?! Seriously.
Shortly after my last near death experience I had an epiphany. It seems every time the world of western medicine failed me, natural medicine not only pulled me through what was going on originally but the side effects of the meds the doctors put me on. Eureka! I have found it.
Expert?
Not by any means, but I have learned to listen to my body, to trust my gut, and to research every medicine I ingest, inhale, or insert. So in a way I guess I am an expert. An expert of me. Which is what everyone should be.
Beautician.
Nope. But I fully appreciate natural beauty, and like all girls I want to feel pretty. Every once in a while I come across something that may be of interest to another sister wanting to pamper.
Disclaimer
Like I said I am not a doctor and there is no substitute for important medical attention. If you think you have a serious medical problem-GO TO THE DOCTOR. Just trust your gut and listen to your body, and if you have a bad feeling about it get a second opinion.
